The Hinatuan Enchanted River is a very deep spring river on a province in the Philippines. It streams into the Philippine Sea along with the Pacific Ocean at Barangay Talisay, Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. It happens to be positioned between the edges of Barangays of Talisay and also Cambatong.
The river’s extraordinary colors and unexplored zones has encouraged numerous local mythology. One tale say that fairies applied the hues of sapphire and also jade to the river to create its distinctive color. Nearby fisherfolk also state noticing fish in the river that can never be captured by any means. Based on locals, the river was known as the Enchanted River due to the “engkantos” that linger there. Their myths also insist that the river is haunted by mysterious creatures which behave as its protectors.
