Gruner See Underwater Park

The lake at Gruner See, interpreted “GREEN LAKE”, turns into a diver’s haven every year. Gruner See is situated in Austria and each year in the spring it gets to be a diver’s goldmine as the snow-melt in the Karst mountains floods the lake sink with magnificent water.

The body of water is usually 3-7 feet deep nearly all of the year with the exception of the spring when it is loaded to a depth of as much as 40 feet with clearer water. The water is a cold 45 degrees Fahrenheit, but it creates for a distinctive scuba diving experience.
