Marine professional photographer John Ng was scuba diving off the shoreline of the Maldives when he observed something trapped among the stones and coral reef at the bottom part of the sea. After a retrieval and analysis, it emerged as an underwater digital camera that have been missing a year ago — a digital camera that was nevertheless flawlessly functional.
Ng is a member of a Scuba Monster marine digital photography organization that’s centered from Hong Kong. In the course of his dive in March 2015, he discovered the camera implanted inside a pit 18.5 meters under the surface area of the water.
There was clearly an intense current at the dive spot, so that it began to take Ng about 10 minutes to secure the camera housing away from its concealing location.
After taking it to the vessel at the surface area, Ng was amazed to discover that the Nauticam housing around the digital camera was still protected and that the digital camera was flawlessly okay in the vacuum inside. The $1,500Panasonic Lumix GH4 surfaced from its tough and battered casing and run on as if absolutely nothing had occurred.
Ng then notified Nauticam China and utilized the serial number on the casing to locate the proprietor, a Malaysian digital photographer who misplaced the digital camera to strong currents way back in December 2014.
