The USS Kittiwake found in crystal clear water of the Cayman Islands seemed to be purposely sunk with the wreck diving idea. The Kittiwake has broad open areas allowing easy accessibility for exploration by the wreck divers.
The U.S.N.S. General Hoyt S. Vandenberg is away from key west Florida. This vessel was technically once a missile tracking ship for the US Navy. It had been sunk in the year 2009 to build up a man-made reef. With this one wreck divers may be able to swim all the way through a huge satellite dish and go down eleven decks by using the thing that was usually the ship’s elevator shaft.
